Global Education Idea Gathers Dust
There has been talk about a $2 billion Global Education fund and even support for the idea from leaders such as British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, but still there has been no formal action. The New York Times' Nicholas Kristof lamented that this is "a promise [Obama] seems to have forgot." Kristof suggested war-torn Afghanistan as a good place to start, as America works to win the support of the population by rebuilding the country. |
