The House Energy and Commerce Committee approved America's Affordable Health Choices Act, which guarantees that all children would be covered under a health care plan that has dental and vision benefits.

Vaccination Program Gets $300M In Stimulus Funds

The administration will commit $300 million in stimulus money to an existing program providing vaccinations and immunizations to children and to encourage states and cities to come up with new ways of increasing the number of people who receive basic childhood vaccinations.

Obama Signs SCHIP Extension

Obama signed an expansion of the State Children's Health Insurance Program, increasing the number of children eligible from 7 million to 11 million. In his remarks at the signing, he called it a "down payment" on his pledge to cover every American.
