USAservice.org Launched
On Jan. 9, Colin Powell announced the "Renew America Together," a nationwide community service initiative in coordination with Martin Luther King Jr. Day. As of Jan. 14, its Web site boasted 8,500 service opportunities. While the USA Service Corps is an office of the White House and thus not yet under Obama's control, the activity of Renew America Together is growing the visibility of volunteer opportunities. |
